Bansko, Bulgaria

The town of Bansko is situated nearby the river Glazne in the north- eastern foot of the Pirin Mountains right bellow the highest and most beautiful part of the mountain, at 925m above sea level. It is just 160 kilometers away from Sofia. 

It is an all year round holiday destination offering a lot of attractions. With its interesting architecture, stone walls, melodic language, delicious meals it attracts a lot of tourists during the summer.  The old part of Bansko represents the typical picture from the years of the Renaissance – house-fortresses with giant stone walls, long black eaves, and narrow stone streets.

Bansko holds a lot of sports and cultural events such as the summer theater festival, the jazz festival and many others that ensure a pleasant atmosphere for the guests of the area throughout the whole year.
