Tour of Valletta, the island”‘s fascinating capital. After a visit to the Malta Experience, an award-winning audio-visual presentation that places the city and the island in their historical context, you”‘ll see the major sights, including the Auberge de Castille, magnificent former home to the Knights of St John and now the Prime Minister”‘s office, and the Upper Barracca Gardens.

Today’s tour will see you board the ferry for a crossing to the quaint port of Mgarr, gateway to Gozo – Malta”‘s smaller, greener sister isle. Visit Victoria – the island”‘s fortified capital – and the fascinating “‘Inland Sea”‘ at Dwerja. We”‘ll also stop at Calypso”‘s Cave overlooking sandy Ramla Bay, and the delightful coastal resort of Xlendi, before returning to Malta past the tiny islet of Comino.

Our morning destination is the megalithic temples of HAGAR QIM & MNAJDRA (3600 to 3000 BC) ,the best preserved and most evocative of Malta’s prehistoric sites, with an unparalleled location atop sea cliffs, looking over to the islet of Filfla. They are among the oldest free-standing stone structures in the world and pre-date the Pyramids of Egypt by more than 500 years.

visit to MARSAXLOKK, a charming fishing village famous for its brightly colored fishing boats which ride at anchor and where the wives of the fishermen knot nylon string bags for the tourists. After an included lunch in a local fishing restaurant, you’ll explore more in depth the south coast travelling along the rocky coast of WIED IZ-ZURRIEQ stopping off at the Blue Grotto to enjoy amazing views (not included boat trip to the Blue Grotto)
